I've been playing with the idea of trying out a MOLLE vest or a Flurry vest. I'm currious about what peoples oppinions are of the two and was also wondering what MOLLE pouches, holder etc. you guys use to hold pods, tanks and anything else you might carry on the field?

Hi. Ive never used a Molle vest but i do have a flurry and its worth every penny i spent (i think $60) Has pretty much everything i need..I will say for the few times i tote a pistol as a back up i do wish there was a 12 gram/10rnd tube pouch but those do fit in the front pockets just fine..I ususally dont haul around a pistol for most walk on games anyway...It gets a tad warm at times but keeps everything snug and secure on the run.. Id like to try a molle type set up but cant really justify buying one when im so happy with the flurry. |

I've got a MOLLE vest that I've pieced together over the past season. While it's great, it's a little hot. If you get hot easily, I'd recomend getting a mesh vest instead of solid material. I got my blank MOLLE vest from The Vest Guy - Custom Made Police, Military, EMS, Airsoft Vests - this is the guy that used to do COPS911 vests. Very high quality product. I've purchased my pouches from: FULL CLIP USA - great pouches, great customer service. I really like the double pod pouches OPSGEAR - got a nice radio pouch from them. don't bother with their "tank" pouch. it's just a waterbottle pouch that you can slide a tank into. That particular pouch isn't worth it. Danny Gunz Paintball Home Page - Danny will make you anything you can dream up. I got a custom adjustable tank pouch from him that'll hold any sized tank from 45ci on up to 114ci. I have also gotten a MOLLE swab holder, and a back-mounted flag holder. Danny's team, Steel Reserve, all have custom built MOLLE vests, where he used the actual camo material, trippled up, to make the MOLLE loops. very clean looking design, and it just looks like solid material, no visible loops. If you ahve any other questions on vests, let me know, I'd be glad to help answer any other questions.

Flurry's tend to be warmer. I'd go with MOLLE (having used both). Of course, now you have to figure out what you want to carry? How many pods? Do you want any extra misc. pouches? The above questions are important because there's many different types of MOLLE vests out there. Check out Cheaper Than Dirt - America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter - they have a good variety. I've used one identical to their MOLLE-137 model.
