Actually... that looks like (6) "$", you you'd better keep saving, PJ.

I still think that was a CAD drawing or something. I don't think one like that was actually made, though I do think Mike is right about the name of the group that proposed/built it.

Wonder what happened to that gun?

We shoulda tried to get Dave Wirth to make the "new Vector" to look like this maybe...

On the other hand, what would be the air source? It would have to be on a remote because I doubt very much that a 12g could even empty that magazine.

I would figure 4-6 shots from a 12g in a normal Vector. Gotta try that someday.

Yep, you're right Drum, the $$$ would probably just be the down payment to cover the entire $$$$$$. But it would be nice!

Found a picture of it on their website here.

Every time I come across my extra barrel I think about having it converted to a springfeed.

If memory serves it has a 45 gram in the stock. Good for 50 shots or so. GunFX did offer them for sale, price tag was $5000. Pretty steep for a paint shooter. You could buy a real MP5 for that and pocket a tidy bit of change.

The way to build this would be to use a few parts from a metal airsoft. The sights, maybe the mag well, foregrip and stock.

The magazine tube would be from scratch. One real improvement to the design would be to have detachable mag tubes so that you could at least sustain a little firepower. The GunFX version was designed for training scenarios and so didn't need a whole lot of ammo capacity.

If it was for me, I'd forego the spring feed entirely. Install a dummy top tube for looks and have a standard direct feed. For a field marker I'd rather have the unrealistic looking ammo box dangling off to the side than have a marker that was out of paint every two seconds and was slow to reload as well. But that is just me. I like to shoot. Shooting makes me smile. And when I smile, I shoot. Pretty soon I'm shooting and smiling maniacally. It scares small children.

Scarecrow, that last bit about liking is shoot is SO signature-worthy! I think a convertible feed system switching from direct feed to spring feed would be great. But $5k for a modded A-5? Far too rich for my tastes.

I think GunFX was selling to ppl with .gov type budgets.

My recommendation to anyone who wants a realistic looling MP5 is this

MilTec's MT75. Definitely the most realistic looking MP5 paintball gun out there. And it takes fewer $'s to get one.

From what I measured, HK parts would fit a vector with the addition of the side reail and something to hold the mag. I measured some G3 parts and fit them up to the vector, its very close, I think AP designed it closer to the MP5 that may hav been needed.

It wouldnt look too bad to put a 4oz tank in the stock either, at least thats wha I planned on. Even have a NOS factory second barrel to work with, just never got the funds nor the parts to do it all the way.

NICE...dangit now I need to come upwith the scratch for 2 more Vectors! Why do you all do this to me? BTW in regards to moding a Vector the Insturctor is gonna sit with me tommorrow and help me write a CNC program to cut me a new shroud out of Aluminum...why he is at it I am gonna get him to help me also program me own version of a loudner...I figure Ill do it like a barrelkit in 2 peices so that I can match a back to EACH of my manybarrels so that I can just screw the Boom tip to the end of each barrel.

Now to make it look like a milspec "Rain Cover"............
