Where to Hydro?

I have a 48/3000 tank that I've had out of hydro since the day I purchased it.

I would like to use it next season, and need to get it Hydro tested. The local dive shop does not hydro test. So....

What's my next best bet? Where can I find a shop to hydro test my tanks, and/or whom should I be sending it to, or who can I contact?

Also: Does anyone have a link or can they post the Hydro testing rules? I'd like to get them together for posterity. How many years, 2 inch diameter (which I think was posted earlier here), etc etc.

Thanks in advance, but really looking for a place to get my tank tested.

I'd ask the guys at paintball wizard. They might know.

www.hydrotester.com
www.crossfire.com

Here's the DOT page for all re-testers: http://hazmat.dot.gov/sp_app/approva..._retesters.htm

Find your state and download the PDF. Unfortunately most people on the list won't touch paintball tanks even if they do High Pressure testing.

Call your local fire department and ask them where they get their tanks hydro'd.

My local welding gas supplier does inhouse hydro testing.
I had a tank tested there and they failed it.
I then sent it to a hydro tester in PA and it passed.

I don't know which facility was wrong. Thankfully, the local guys did not drill the tank as they are supposed to.

Hey Carter
I send out hydros once a month. We can work something out for member ship dues.

Carter, call "Johnsons Sporting Goods" of Portland Maine.

They do most of the paintball hydros for Maine. They did mine for $15 including valve removal, and re-installation.
And I got the tank back the next day.

Call you local fire extinguisher servicing company, they can do it for ya or at least know someone in your town that can do it. Take the regulator off yourself if you can, they might not be as graceful as a ballerina when it comes to take the valve of with a pair vise grips.

I've used Crossfire a couple times. They have great customer service and very fast turn-around times.
