I have bought my first brass paintball gun, a Piranha Long Barrel (from Bacci's recent sale) Have put about 100 rounds through it and it functions perfectly couldn't be happier. I plan on taking it down to CFP on April 4th and would really like to break it down and check the internals as well as shine it up really nice before the event. However I would hate to break something on accident or not be able to get it back together![]() Mr. Big said that he might have a scan on his computer. And I have been looking online but have yet to find much on the breakdown or parts for this marker. I was hoping that someone here could direct me to a walk through for a brass newbie! Any and all info will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

| more gooder | http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/images...s/PMI-diag.jpg There is also a huge amount of information in the section here, just restrict your search to the ask the experts section. There are probably manual scans in the manuals section up in the stickys, and in vintagerex. Also try the sheridan/pmi section in the marker sub forum. Plus there are ton of people that could break down and repair brass with a blinfold and one hand lol. |

take your time and be patient when removing/installing parts...brass is rather soft if you are used to working on cars/houses remember that urethane handles CO2 much better than buna-N when looking for new orings for your new marker...especially in the valve area

I'll be at CFP on the 4th as well, and will be bringing my newly renovated LB and SB. I have a valve tool and will have it with me if you need to get the valve out for cleaning. It'll be nice to see some other brass......

Dan, with sheridans if they shoot and hold air I wouldn't touch them at all. No need to somehow try to fix what isn't broken, if anything you might do more harm then good. Only thing that could be off are dried up orings but if it holds air your fine and even if there was something wrong unless you have the orings on hand your going to have allot of trouble getting them before the event. Just run a crapload of oil through it, shoot it 'till it shoots dry and pack it in your gear bag. |

unless the finish is already stripped, don't bother. the upkeep is more work than it is worth. Plus, a nice worn factory finish is the best look for a brass gun

Finish already stripped. Gun in question is #107 from bacci's recent sale thread here. Going to be looking up a way of stopping the tarnish and keeping the shine of the brass. Brass musical instruments are laquered to keep the shine..going to be checking to see if that finish can be applied to the exterior of the gun with out harming function or internals.
