Matt.. 6 to 10? Hell I was probably 14 when I got mine for like $10 on sale at toys r us.... lots of fun Blowing up the provided ships kept me from having to blow up the models I built.

Yeah, I was at least in Middle school when my buddy and I used to play that. We'd spend all day sometimes going back and forth between that and Fireball Island(anyone remember that one?). That was until my cat peed on the Torpedo Run mat

Hmmm I know now why mine was on sale.... it had no mat with it. A friend and I used to set it up on the kitchen floor and just eye ball where ships were supposed to go.... it ended up just being a free-for-all for the most part with the chips shooting all over the damn kitchen. The cats used to get involved and catch the chips mid launch sometimes.

You know, in the spirit of MCB you all should MAKE your own torpedo run games. . . Get some scale models, rig them to fly apart, make a torpedo launching sub. Heck I challenge one of you to make a torpedo bomber. . .
