Trracers/mavericks are good guns but can have some long-run durability problems. They are good if you treat them well, but a Phantom will be much better in the long run.

I doubt that, i have trracers that are original second run guns (after the powertube change) and were rentals.

They sat in a damp shed for years... and then I got them. After some pring changes, they all work perfectly. the only durability issue you can run into is breaking the powertube from autotriggering and pumping too hard, or wearing down the ones with the plastic sear. Since PMI is selling them agian, getting a replacement after a few hundred thousand shots shouldnt be all that hard

Skirmish used Trracers as rentals years ago and from time to time they re-surface and mostly still work. They are in sad shape but still rock anyway, other than their rental Tippmann M98' I have yet to see a more abusable marker.

I must just have bad luck with trracers then. I had two quick strip holes on the ASA body strip out on me and they tend to develop a leak if too much pressure is put on the tank.
