I was wondering if anyone had experience with these Expansion Chambers/Reg

Thanks

The internals of a reg vs and expansion chamber are significantly different.
I'm skeptical that any kind of "combo" could really work all that well.

I myself, have trouble seeing that working very well. You'd think that combining an Xchamber+reg would be too restrictive and the "already slow" recharge rate...would slow even further. It takes time for the CO2 to expand, we all know this...but now expand and then be regulated afterwards? Hrmmmm....I'll have to give that more thought but my initial response would leave me to say "neh, don't think it'd work out too good"...but that's just me...

unless they just put like a volumizer section of air before the regulating part. So the co2 had a chance to expand right before it was regulated down. That would allow the liquid to stay at the bottom of the reg / chamber and the air to flow up in to the regulator portion. That might actually be a good idea. And it wouldn't restrict airflow at all.

It would prolly work well, if it wasnt using that piece of poo reg..........

Air america made one a LONG LONG time ago, for Marcus Neilson (not sure of the last name) form England. They used a unireg inside of an expansion chamber, it was big heavy and long, but worked well.

Brewtt-I'm actually having trouble finding a decent used stab hence the search on e-bay that turned this up. I'll upgrade the trigger first anyway.

To be honest, all you have to do is read the initials CMI or read Thunderpig on there and you'll know it's pretty much junk.I've never seen a good product from them.

It's a run of the mill CMI inline with an expansion chamber...I have one of their ASA to ASA regs, and it has a recharge of about one second, which is pretty terrible. I use it for backbottle pump projects though, so it fits my needs well.
