| Newbie | I dont know about the distribein deal but the "whisper" barrel looked alot differen when side by side, and the quality wasn't near that of a Jacko. It was a alright barrel. I personally think it was made by the same people that make the 32 degres stuff (jewels were in the same place and size at one time). The rainmaker could have the redheaded stepchild though, and received a jacko. I never did see a working rain maker. Last edited by Vash; 12-16-2006 at 07:09 PM.. |

| Airsmith to the Gods | Eagle work barrels suck ***. They have an extremly large bore. And for some reason only worked good if you cut them down behind the porting.

| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Southern Maine | The Rainmaker barrels were in fact Jacko barrels. It dates back to the fact that Brass Eagle was originally the US distributor for the WDP Angel. But the deal fell apart for a couple reasons. (WDP objected to Brass Eagle renaming the gun the Brass Eagle Angel. BE objected to the high price). WDP was the one to back out, so to "buy out" there contract, they provided BE with a ton of Jacko barrels. I liked them, though they were nothing special. Nick |
