Question D.P G3, would you buy one and use it?

OK, I asked what the G.F would like a ULE mag and she read up on it and she said it would be too heavy for her<I still want one>. The only real light guns is the mini<which I heard it's hit or miss with them> and the D.P G3 which I watch the techPB video on youtube and the only complaint is the board for tournies <which all she said she wanted to do is woodsball>. The only complaint I see is (1) It runs on batteries. (2) the queer "D" on the back of the gun.Which I found out can be removed. (3) It has batteries and those who own a G3 do they find them trust worthy?!

I know I asked before but she's a stick of a lady (100lbs). So my rig for her is going to be a 45/4500,and a Pinokio.

Honestly, I had my G3 for a couple of months. Mine was stock, and it was a vicious gas hog. Aside from that, I'm not sure if this is a problem... but I found when on ramping, if I ramped for more than 3 seconds straight, I would make it not be able to keep up. Meaning, I ramp for 5 seconds, but it continues to shoot after I stop pulling the trigger. Other than those "minor" problems, the ones I have all seen have had "RPG Macro Fittings"... You know the cap that pushes out when a gun w/ macroline is aired up? That part would sometimes FLY OFF. Not sure if that was fixed, and their elbows tended to get a monster grip on the macroline, meaning it can't be taken off.
I don't remember the D being on there... but if for #3 you mean is it battery efficient, it was ok.

In 20+ years of playing I've own 3 battery powered guns.I'm the "If it's not broke don't fix it type". And play pump 90% of the time. Just don't want a gun to crap out on me.Out of the 3 guns a Angel LCD had it a month had to send it back to WDP. And a APE boarded A-5. It had a bad board in it. So I don't get along with deem'E-lec-tron-ik guns!

DP G3's seem to be pretty popular around here. When I asked around in the beginning if my local stores carried them, they weren't sure about it. When the price hit the $300 mark, all the stores I asked stocked them. And they usually don't stock guns that constantly need fixing.

I also told my friend to buy it after doing my own research, he got one used for $200 and seems pretty pleased, he did replace the reg though.

I hate dealing with electronics also, but it's a pretty decent turn on and play gun. I don't like messing with a billion settings either. I just need a gun to shoot consistent and not break paint.

EDIT: Also, they have very good customer support.

Fan of EMR
I would get a DP Fusion over a G3.

Ive been happy with mine, only problem ive had was boltstick due to using to much grease on the bolt Dont think its as efficient as my fusion but its alot simpler. You may want to watch your fingers when flipping the asa. IMO its the best deal out of the $300 retail electros.

yeah, I numbed many a finger with my Fusion. they're all nice, I like the weight and trigger of the G3. And they have great costumer service. not CCI or CCM, but for mass production its great.

DP markers are a really good bang for your buck. Good performers with good CS.

Lightly grease the bolt and back cap after a day's play, and occasionally put a drop or two of air tool oil in the ASA, and you're good to go. They're pretty painless.
