Need a really good yet easy to use CAD Program

I have autocad, and sigmanest here at work, but I only know enough to get by on those programs...

Is there an easier to use 3D CAD program (and one that I don't have to pay through the teeth for... heck, free maybe?)

I'm looking to put together some simple parts to have made, but need to send out some CAD designs and DXF files or whatever... Need a program I can use to do that.

Looking for suggestions!

Thanks

have you checked out solidworks?

No I haven't.. checked out their site, and well... When the don't tell me a price, and ask me to have a salesperson call me.. Well, that's 2,000 to 5,000 USD and up mark in my experience.... EEEK.

Carter, check out Google Sketch Up. It's free and is easy to use once you run through the tutorials. It's no Autocad or SolidWorks but is neat.

Edit: Might not fit the bill for designing parts...

It's not 3D, but I've found Q-Cad to fit the bill for me. It's free =)

Master cam ( I know you have it) or Skech Up they have good support and lots of seminars locally.

everything of quality is very expensive. If you already have autocad i say learn that. I have Bob cad cam, Turbo cad, and Autosketch. Turbo cad is failry easy and is about 150 with the tutorial packet

Autocad is a great program once you figure it out

Painthappy has Mastercam?

that's all you need. i have Mastercam on my old computer. it's only the design version. i bought it when i was taking Mastercam in college. it cost me $200. it's a cool program and has everything you need to draw parts and make blueprints complete with dimensions.

Ahem.. I used to have mastercam. No idea where it went. I had it on a disk and it got lost in the house moves...
