all the air comes out when 12 gram is pierced...

When the 12 gram is pierced all the air instantly rushes out of the gun. What is broken? I thought it could be the cup seal. I replaced it and the problem remained. All the internals should be in their correct places.

Any Ideas?

The face seal. It's just a big rubber disk with a tiny hole in the middle that goes around the pierce pin.

USP's form a big dent around the pierce pin after a lot of use. The seller tossed in half a dozen seals when I got mine.

Plus, make sure the 'gun's cocked when you put a new 12gram in.

i've heared about problems with the pierce pin in the valve, but normally its that theyre not piercing...still it may be the pin, unlikely...but possible

i replaced that seal (i thought it was a called a cup seal).

I have another USP that works fine, but I can't figure out what is wrong with this one. I put oil on the pierce pin area, but that didn't work either. It just shoots all the air out. I took the old seal that was in the broken USP and put it in my working one..and the working one still worked, so it wasn't the seal. I'm gonna try and take the gun apart and put it together again. Maybe I put something in wrong.

ahh

Where's the gas leaking out of? If it's shooting out from around the cartridge then it'll be your pin seal or the pin itself may be broken. If it shoots out within the body of the gun then it's something else.

If you had it apart to take the valve out when you put in the brass pin screw that holds the valve in place did you tighten that or leave it "floating"? If it's tight then it pushes the body upwards and gas leaks around the lower parts of the Orings which are not sealing there any more.

Make sure to pull the bolt back, maybe dry fire it a tiem or 2 before you put in the first 12gram.

That's what one of my regular Piranhas did when I snugged it out of not knowing. It takes very little snugging to make those O rings leak. The screw needs to actually be loose. Run it in until you feel the first sign of any bottoming then back it off 1/2 a turn and that'll be fine.

I also tend to put 3 or 4 turns of teflon on them now to give them a little resistance to wandering and also to try to help seal them since some gas will come out through the threads. And on 12 gram guns we need all we got.

I just recently got my own USP. I'm looking forward to using it in a few games this summer and I'm going to try to see if I can arrange for a pistols only special day or two.

The screwing in the plug really sucks. I need to either make one that uses a crank key or better yet I'd like to make up a lever action setup that does the peircing. The stock plug with that silly floppy lever takes far too long.
