Threads for Sheridan valve nut?

Does anyone know the type of threading for the internal threads where Sheridan valve retaining nuts screw into?

I ruined a valve nut when trying to insert it, and I think I damaged the internal threads a little. PPS informed me that they can clean them out for about $15 fee, but if a tap is just about as cheap, I'd rather save the shipping money, as I can do this repair myself. I just need to know the threads. Thanks!
