How much pressure can a 12g handle?

I need to know for a project. I'll basically be using an old 12g as a dummy for a C/A conversion. I'll be using CO2 only.

So, anyone?

Well, 1800psi is the working max for CO2, so it can at least handle that.

But, I do not recommend using old 12grams as dummys. Yes, people do it, and YES, I've seen many of them blow.

It is REALLY easy to make a dummy using brass fittings.

yeah, don't use a 12 gram. the walls are too thin and won't have enough threads to hold the pressure.

Ok. I figured they'd hold up pretty good. Apparently not. Thus the reason I decided to ask before doing anything.

Thanks guys.

The wall on the 12 gram cylinder is not thick enough to hold a thread.
