A-5 Freak back on pro/carbine?

Does anyone know if the A-5 Freak back will fit on a pro/carbine? They use the same threads, but...

The threaded in has to be short enough to screw into the receiver all the way.

And the body of the barrel has to be able to fit into the foregrip.

I tried an empire barrel kit, but it was too long at the threaded end to screw into the receiver, and the barrel was too wide at the back to fit into the foregrip.

The guy I sold my old Pro/Carbine to uses an empire barrel kit on his. We just dremeled the foregrip to fit it. The back threads in until the barrel bottoms out in the breach, so there's a gap at the front, but the barrel is in there fully and it works just fine.

The barrel will thread onto the body, but it won't fit in the foregrip.
