| Newbie Join Date: Nov 2009 | Large Thread HPA Regulator Question. Need An Old School Expert!!
Hi everyone. I have asked this question on a bunch of different PB forums and no one has answered. I have an old ACI carbon fiber tank that needs a regulator. The problem is that the thread on the bottle that accepts the regulator is .750-16 (3/4-16) UNF. The standard tank regulator thread size is .625-18 (5/8-18) UNF. Did 3/4-16 regulator size ever exist in paintball? I'm beginning to think that I'm chasing a ghost. I think CO2 regulators are 3/4-16, but I'm not sure. Thanks!! |

How old is your tank? After 15 years they can no longer be hydro'd... You must be getting close.

it took me quite awhile to find a reg but i did find one! best thing i can tell you do do is have a machine shop make a lower bottom for a PE/ninja reg threaded differently. if i had the time at work i would have done this myself but i work on mills and few and far between will i get a chance to do a personal project on a lathe. |

An adapter would be great, but if I had to have one made, the cost would probably kill the deal. I just going to keep looking. I'm quite happy to find out that they exist. The search is on!! If anyone comes across one please remember me. In the mean time I'll keep a post alive in the WTB section. Thanks for your help eveyone!! | |
