That WGP MG7 spoolie thing

Does anyone own one of those wgp MG7's? A bunch of them have surfaced brand new recently and I was thinking of getting one. Almost just to say that I own one. I was really wondering about the build quality. link WGP MG-7 Electronic LED Gun Auto mg7 ion challenger FS

They are actually decent guns, a friend of mine bought one and I used it for a couple games. The trigger kinda sucks and the thing's a gas hog, but it's a decent marker none the less.

I almost want one just to say I have one. Maybe one will show up used really cheap cause after thinking for a bit, I think I can find better things to spend 100 dollars on, like a chrono.

I saw one at the field a few weekends ago. It seemed to be ok, aside from having to be filled (HPA) quite often.

I remember reading in some thread, maybe on PbN, that the design was bought from some other company. The company that the design was bought from, produced these guns themselves before WGP. I just can't remember the name.

Is this the one based off of a nail-gun?

A guy I play with has one and it works great when it's working. The thing is always chopping paint because of the weak detents. Seeing how it never picked up in popularity, there's not much available in the way of upgrades for them. He's not even sure what feedneck threads it takes.

There's no bolt at all, I can't figure out what seals the feedneck when the marker fires; it's a real mystery to me.

The MG7 was WGP's answer to the SP Ion. My field sold a few and I had the honor of tuning and chronoing one for a customer that came to pick it up later. The gun was as solid as any other spool-valve and the trigger *could* be tuned to shoot ropes..it was fun to shoot.

I like how I&I's title for the marker says WGP, but they say twice in the description "made by Air Challenger".
