ATS AT-85 issues

I have an AT-85 that is having problems. Its new, and tried it for the first time last weekend and its not working proporly. First thing is that i can not get more then about 270 fps with the velocity all the way out. Second, when on full auto the first ball shoots at about 270 fps then drops to around 120 fps for the following rounds. And thirdly, I went through a 48ci, 3000psi tank in 50 shots. Can someone shed some light on this please. I really would like to get it working proporly if i can.

NO. It's a ninja tank and reg with a 850psi output.

And the tank is 100% working?
50 shots seems fishy, I doubt the AT could dump that volume in that shot count if the tank is filled and working correctly.

Without a major leak somewhere you would not be using a full 48 in 50 shots, a fully filled 13ci 3k tank will give approx. 150 shots. Can you try a different bottle?

I am picking up two different tanks, other then the one i used this morning and will try again. i thought of that but couldnt get other tanks untill today. But, yes the tank was filled to capacity and emptied varry quickly. I thought it was strange without a noticable leak aswell and thats why im trying different tanks. I did check the Popit regulator on the marker and the main spring looks warn and well used but like i said its the first time i have tried it out. i have a rebuild kit and have replaced the entire regulator, just waiting for air. I will let you know how it goes. I appreciate the advice. I have tried to get ahold of LT from Northern Command where i bought it but he is a hard guy to catch up with.

OK.. so i rebuilt reg and that seemed to take care of the air issues. firing well and using way less air. but i still have velocity problem. It is cranked all the way out and im still only getting between 230-255 fps. any ideas on this??

Wait, you've turned the bolt adjuster all the way counter clockwise? Because you have to turn it clockwise to bring velocity up. If you have it "out" all the way, that's the minimum velocity setting. It's the opposite of a Tippmann.

Sorry, just the wrong choice of words. Yes, the velocity is all the way UP. Clockwise. Maby the hammer spring? Piston or Cycle?? not sure where else to look.

Make sure you have a bolt seal. Without it you'll max at around 235-ish fps no matter how much you adjust the velocity.
