Velocity Adjuster??? Is there supposed to be some sort of special fitting on the end of my velocity adjuster? All I have is a long hex-head wrench, and I can't for the life of me figure out how that is supposed to turn the bolt. The first and only time I took my marker to the field it was chrono'ing just over 300fps, and I was perplexed when I took the tool out. Is there an easy way to adjust velocity w/o relying on the down-the-barrel method?

There should be a head on the end that fits into the face of the bolt. If you don't have that then the velocity adjuster will not move the bolt face and change your velocity. Aside from the bolt tension you can also change your velocity by adjusting your input pressure. The typical range for input pressure is between 750psi and 950psi, 850psi is the ideal pressure for velocity and efficiency. Other than that if you have to you can turn the bolt face by hand, but you'll need to remove the housing and sleeve assemblies from the receiver to get at it.

Hrm..definitely don't have that then. Adjust the input pressure would be done externally, not by using the built-in regulator, correct? Maybe I should just order a new velocity adjuster, it looks like this one has been beat to hell anyway, at least one of the spacer rings is gone.

PM me your shipping address and I will mail you a replacement adjuster head. They press on and if you use excessive force you can crack them. Then they'll shoot out of the barrel the next shot, and trust me that hurts when your finger is in the barrel to make it muffled.
