Q Loaded ATS AT85 AT 85 Q Loader custom mounting bracket

Now that the chain feed is fed at 30bps...I should be able to up the cycle rate of the ATS AT85. I sent Gumby an email hopefully he can tell me which way to bend the cycle retainer

Its the custom mounting bracket from Qloader. It fixes the probem of the clear vl plastic clip side from breaking. Very durable. To lower clip to reset gun simply turn allen screw, rotate q socket a pull down clip. You also need to glue in a piece of plastic L from like a tape or cd case in clip to prevent qloader pods back feeding paint to 1st chain link in front of VL adapter tube.

Advantages:
1. Qloader pod facing right way for quick changes and also on left side of gun.
2. ATS guns perfect for q loader because gun can still be shoot while changing q pods. You still have 11 shots in clip and in tube. All other guns can't shoot while reloading empty q pods.
3. Q pods feed at 30bps and feed chain directly 1 on top of another which prevents chain from being damaged and alows for cycle rate to be increased on the ATS guns.
4. You can really play speed ball now
5. Direct feed which prevents Q Pods from breaking paint. Much better than using qloaders long bendy grey feed hose which allows paint to accerlate too fast when changing an empty pod thus causing older/cheap paint to break.

I found this post when doing a google search for ATS and Qloader. I plan on using the qloader hose instead of mounting it directly to the clip like shown. I'm also going to lower the prewinds to help prevent the ball accelerating issue. With that configuration, is the L bracket mod still needed?

I got a Q a couple weeks ago and I did the "L" mod inside the mag using 2 little pieces from an old tape case and some loctite.

I never did attempt to run it without modifying the mag since I could see the reasoning behind doing the "L".

Could you do me a favor and make some close up pics of that mod? I tried looking at tmart's pics close up, and after looking at the mag, I can't see where you'd put the "L" bracket without impeding the chain. I can see where you could put one to the left of the first link between the 2 chains, but I don't see that in the pics above.

Except as soon as you hook up the new pod, but you'll still shot air if you've shot more than the number of shots in the tube (i.e. chain has indexed and no more balls in the tube to load). Not as big a deal once you have a fresh pod plugged in, but you'll still be shooting blanks, just later rather than sooner.

I bought the right handed mag mod from LoudThunder. Looking on the inside, I'm not sure if that mod will be necessary.

I was wondering what they looked like. Nice.

I think you'll be ok without the mod but tmart probably knows better.
