| That little metal ball is more then likely from under your indexer (its called the Indexer/Selector ball). With out that in place your magazine will not index proplerly (its a stop). Your magazine will be out of time. As for the cost I'm not sure but I do know that it will cost more in shipping then the part itself. Depends on where you are, and how fast you want it.

| The only metal ball that is used in the magazine is the indexer ball. As LT said without it you will have no 'detent' position. If you have the magazine timed correctly there is a good chance that it will stay that way as long as you don't touch the crank handle in the back. Although chances are your magazine will be missed timed rather easily. The ball itself is less than $.25 so postage is more than the part. |
