| Seasoned Member | I often use my AT85 on the air ball field. It's the only field that will allow me to use it on fullauto. ![]() ...with a 70/4500 stubby HPA on the bottom line regulator. Using the hopper adaptor is a lot like using a warp feed. Leaning the gun right when shooting out the right side of a bunker keeps your hopper, tank, and hands completely inside. When shooting out the left you tilt the gun sharply to the left (hopper nearly under the gun) in a sort of cross arm position. Gives you a very low profile, though it's completely opposite of 'normal' airball technique. Against the ramping electros you have a slight ROF advantage, you hit your max ROF right away, they take 3 shots to engauge the ramping. Only real disadvantages are the noise (you WILL draw fire from EVERYONE), and efficiency. You'll need to go up one size of tank compared to more modern guns if you're using similar amounts of paint. I find I use slightly less paint with it compared to my tournament electro (04 Viking).

| Rec Poster | Yes, the ATs definitely have a distinctive sound and are definitely an "Attention Getter." Not only do they not look like pneumatic air tools, they do not sound like them either. Matteusz, if I can ask, what are you using shooting now? If it has a relatively long barrel, then the AT-85 would not take much to get used to. The standard barrel on the AT-85 is only 14 inches. If you are into speedball/tournament then the suggestion of the AT-10 is that it is smaller and has a much lower profile, since it has a shorter barrel. Do not be fooled by the short barrel it is still extremely accurate. Using a V-Magazine so you can use a standard hopper give you the ammo capacity for that style, and give you the option of using the standard pods for re-loads. Just giving you options. Definitely on high on the cool factor. |

Where a cocker fires and has the neat swishing movement and sound of the backblock cycling, an ATS marker (to me at least) has a VERY satisfying railgun feel to it (kind of like the paintball version of a Barrett You will fall in love with it. |

I've had people tell me that some players have actually dropped to the ground think that someone was firing a real rifle. The ATS have a very distinctive crack to them. As for how loud (sorry no db level information) it just a bit louder then a Flat line.

| MCB Member Join Date: May 2008 | I was playing woodsball and after building my rapport with a few games, somebody had a bright idea. They used me as a lure because of the loud report of my marker and the attraction it draws. Most of the opposing team followed me as I was tactically retreating. Then my team flanked and eliminated the group following me. It depends your view about using the marker. You ain't going to be a sniper for sure. You will feel god-like with this loud monster at the ready. Morale will dissipate on the receiving end. Or be attracted to it like insects to a zapper. One guy on the opposing woodsball team told me as they were deciding to go left or right. "Which way are you going?" "I'm going to stay here and go the opposite side of the loud noise." |

EDIT: I spend a lot of time each day on the SpecOps forums actively mocking the 'paintball snipers', and even the real paintball snipers...I respect them, but I find the concept SO boring and dry. Wee, I hide and shoot people when they walk by.
