| Reciever differences What are the physical differences from reciever to reciever? Does it go beyond the handguard at all? I'm just wondering how necissary it is to fully replace a reciever to, for example, change from an AT-85 to an AT-4. Also, I see the AT-16 listed as a product on the ATS site, but I can't find an actual price for it. I've seen the recievers for sale, but does anybody sell the full unit?

| Yeah, that's where I saw the receivers for sale. I'm wondering if it's possible to just get the AT-16 anywhere, since the AT-16 receiver isn't exactly cheap when you add in the carry handle, barrel and some other random ATS gun. You say the look of the receivers are different? How so?

| Yes there is a slight difference between the receivers The main difference is the 85s have the front of the magazine well removed to allow the forward loaders to be used. This does not effect performance any way (well except with the AT4 if that front piece is missing you can and will get dirt paint etc inside the marker. Outside of the bonded items to the top (top rail) and the foregrips there are no other differences between the 2. As for the availablity of the AT16 all I can say is there is no NEW AT 16's anymore. ATS discontiuned the barrels. Thats why the only the receivers are listed and not the AT16 themselves. NOW thats not saying that they are forever gone just that ATS has at this time no plans to bring it back. Unless of course if I could get like 40+ confirmed orders for the barrel(s) and/or the 16 themselves I could get something worked out but that would be through me and not ATS directly.

Try J&J for a custom barrel run...Weltman and I got all sorts of strange things from them and I know there wasn't a 40 part minimum.

| J&J is one of the very few manufacturers who have actually made barrels for the ATS guns already. BOA was another and Pro team made me one as well. At the time we didn't order anymore than ten although things might be different now as that was ten years ago. They may still have the specifications and it may just be a matter of calling in an order of xx minimum quantity. We had varying bores, lengths and materials in the order. |
