| MCB Member Join Date: Feb 2008 | Mis-Indexing, and done everything the manual told me to, HELP! Okay, just like the title says, I just traded my AT85 body for and AT10, put in my guts (the back end of the markers) into the new body, air it up, pop in a mag and try it out, shoots about every other shot. Went back inside, took the back end out, checked the ... whatchmacallit... guide plate! and it was fine, manual says push the pin on the chainpull thing forward (towards the front of the marker), attach guide plate and try again, same problem. Replace the chainpulling piece, recheck guide plate, air up marker, insert mag and same problem... please help!! |

Another test is to fire with the guide plate removed, this may or may not advance the chain so do not have a loaded magazine installed. When you fire you can watch to make sure that the cog is moving correctly. Those are the most common issues. If either is the case I can walk you though the fix.

Make sure that the coupling pin is moving and that the cog pull hole does not have anything preventing it from connecting to the coupling pin.

| Village Idiot | Gumby - Could this have anything to do with coming off an older housing? My ATS (the one this reciever came from) is an older one that was upgraded for HPA, did any dementions change that could be causing this. Redbeard - please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. |

Take the cog out and check the underside for burrs or goo. I've had quite a few that ended up with some sand and paint mixture that turned into something close to cement. If you can remove the pull, normally you would need to remove the housing first to do this. Connect the two parts and put the clip on. Now with your fingers just try sliding the parts back and forth, they should move without any problem.
