Feed tube too heavy?

Has anyone got their feed tube milled out through the front and plugged it? Is it worth it in weight reduction? My machine shop can do it for $15 Could hold an extra twelvie or spare balls

I think it was purposely left intact to add heft to the gun and aid in pointing.

I think it might look better if it was milled from the bottom. That way it still maintains the same lines and you get some weight reduction. Although when I had one I personally liked the heft and thought it was vey well balanced.

You don't realize how heavy it is until you take if off the R7...it weighs a "ton", but on the marker you never realize it....balances/points extremely well...

Mill it out, glue a magnet and hold a spare 12 gram in it!

So the problem is...? If you take out some weight from the front, you may find yourself aiming high or over correcting.

I have never shot it w/o the top feedtube...I did try to put a Punisher phantom feedtube on it & it looked very bad...

I sold mine about a month ago...or I would check it out...it does have a great feel!

All I can say is that I wouldn't modify any part of the marker like that. Josh built an incredibly beautiful marker, and I wouldn't do that to it.

^ Yeah but only for the Stainless Body since the Slide kit uses its own feed tube...

I'll admit it is heavy but as others have said it (personally) seems to aid in balance and give it some heft...

Personal preference all the way.

I would be careful doing something you can't reverse...and would be difficult to replace.
