Why not integrating the lower with the top?

referring to the cocking handle at the back of the slide, like so:

I'm definitely okay with a gated feed. I'd prefer that over the jam-in anyway.

I disagree; it looks very incomplete. If there will be an option to have the lower pump handle added in the future, I'd be okay with the proposed approach, especially if it means we'd get them sooner.

Race gun is a term given to real steel pistols that are used in competitive shooting. Generally, these pistols are tricked out with optics, rails, side cocker, and various other doodads.

If I may make a suggestion:

Add the threaded holes to the front of the magslide just like you would need to in the green version. Also add two dowel holes at the back of where the lower pump handle would go. Leave the front countersinks alone on the lower pump, add two slots at the back ( t slow cutter from Z direction each side). You are already working on both of these pieces from the correct direction, all you would need to add is 2 holes on each side of the slide.

Later on if you do go for the lower handle you can just make them and ship them. Drop in two dowels to the sides of the mag slide and slide the pump on over them. add two countersunk screws and it is located and attached with no hassle for the end user.

I am OK with the feed gate but I don't like the bare looking slide.

I am in favor of the lower pump pc that completed the look of a magslide

Can it still be called a magslide then if the lowers are removed?

I'm ok with the feed gate and giving the slide a smoother stroke but would like to see the lower pump available. Like others mentioned it completes the look of the magnum and offers a more familiar gameplay option.

Will see what I can come up with. Probably just keep the jam feed and existing design if people are stuck on the pump handle, except with a four screw mounting... I don't trust dowels that small in such shallow engagement.

I really like the old style with the lower and the cram n jam personally...

Is it too difficult to make it a one piece? Still holding onto the ascetics of the lower pump?

Me too but I am willing to go with the change if it is more likely to get the pieces produced.
