Again, one piece is not physically possible, unless someone has a high precision 3D laser sintering additive metal printer for 6061 aluminum...

Personally, I only want a Magslide that has the lower handle or all one piece like the Duckbox prototype.... No other way works for me at all. I'm already running a gated feed on mine and it makes life so much easier than cram and jam

The prototype was comprised of two pieces, btw.

Will see if I can figure out a cost effective design with gated feed and pump handle.

Here's what I came up with tonight while rebuilding the slide design from ground up to fit the 7/8 feed:

25% lighter than previous magslide iteration. not bad! Style is experimental at this point, playing around with a few aesthetic elements. thoughts on the milling there?

Also, I had the fantastic idea to just cut a big slot on both sides with a locking screw to essentially rail mount the pump handle, which I'll draw up this week perhaps. Something lightweight to suit the profile.

Cool dimensional data: most of that slide is only an inch thick, the same thickness as the barrel. overall width of the muzzle (top to bottom) is just shy of two inches... very sleek.

Mag Slide will look good no matter which way it runs...

The Gate vs Jam feed though is up for debate. I have played both but not with a ton of experience, so all my preference is solely aesthetic although I far prefer function over form... I always found myself cramming a 10 rounder into my gated feed and leaving it there lol. Just not a fan of the big collar at the back aesthetically.

A little more to look at:

Having used both jam feed and gate feed regularly for many years, I feel overall the gated feeds practical value really is the way to go. And in this case, it wins out on looks due to slimming the whole thing down real good... going to work on a little design hunch tomorrow which may blend the feed into the look a bit better.

That looks really good actually,
And a "rail" mounted handle would be great

So a pump handle could be slid onto this and then held in place by two small screws at the end of the rail yes?

Any chance the slide grips could be extended to the top of the slide?

I don't think I saw it anywhere but is the feed gate you are working with comparable with CCI feed gates?

I like where this is going, and I will like it even better when we start to see chips being made.

I'm all for the lower profile design to suit the new feedgate style! Looks great
A little bummed about the handle to be honest

Josh, I think this look is closer to the race design you've been aiming for. But that's just me.
