Thumbs up Avratech AV-1 Falcon, development and discussion thread

AV-1 Avratech Falcon
.68 Cal High Performance Pump Action Marker

Features:
-ultra compact and lightweight (seriously light.)
-flawless ergonomic design provides maximum control and self-aiming
-convertible vertical feed, SC feed, jam feed, etc
-proprietary floating hammer design for maximum consistency and accuracy
-rapid fire auto-trigger (as fast as you can pump it, even 10bps!)
-low turbulence valve with improved valve spring design for both low and high pressure, swap springs in seconds
-excellent performance with or without a regulator thanks to the valve and hammer design
-dual action rods, ultra low friction action
-Autococker barrel threads
-CCM Clamping Feedneck
-universal ASA (vertical or horizontal), 3 mounting positions
-precision guided springs, all stainless
-rear adjustable velocity by valve tension, does not affect the pump stroke
-quick release bolt with feed-advance chop prevention design
-hogue palm swell grips! yehawww

The price tag will be $6000 with barrel, ASA, airline, hogue palm swell grips, and CCM clamping feedneck. PS The price is a lie, you can't actually have one of these.

I see alot of potential for extraneous drag once the gun is played with and beaten up.

Just sayin'...

the design images are very nice, and i love the stock class variant. is this something you're doing for you, or will this be made available in small runs for purchase?

if it's going to be publicly available, let me know, and i will officially put my name on the list to buy one, dav

Spoke with Jim Masse yesterday about this gun. See, there's already a gun called the 'Falcon', which was a hybrid blowforward he developed. He was excited to hear about yours, and said it'd be okay to call it the Falcon, but suggested differentiating it from his with a color prefix like 'The Green Falcon'. My idea was to substitute a specific species like 'Peregrine' or something.

I know, I know, arguing what to call it is as stupid as it gets, but hey, I love the design.

Castro, tolerances in the "extraneous drag" zones are quite generous, the sled will ride nice and loose, and the pump rods have enough individual play to allow for all sorts of mess. thats the general idea with the action, distributed rigidity and environmental tolerance, if that makes sense.

Dav, will be manufactured for sale in good numbers.

Tohri, if I'd ever heard of such a gun, I'd consider the name issue. AV-1 Falcon is it. I wont tell you what the actual company name is yet.
