| Semper Fi | Gen 4 timmy tech question
Hey guys, This is my first timmy and just trying to get it right. I grabbed a gen 4 infamous that is a beauty but "broken". I replaced the hoses to get the leak from the frame to stop which worked great. Now there is a very slight leak from the barrel. I tore it apart and inspected the poppit and the front oring (not the shaft one) had a chunk taken out. I replaced it and inspected and relubed everything but the barrel leak is still there. I backed the hpr and lpr all the way down and the leak is still there. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dominik |

Leak out the barrel, either the front ram sleeve oring, middle poppet oring, rear poppet oring or a slight chance the front ram oring. With it gased up, back the LPR all the way out (off). If the leak stops check the rear poppet oring & ram oring. If it still leaks, middle poppet or sleeve oring.

Also, use Dow 55.

TY guys. Yes I use dow 55 lube. With the LPR backed all the way out the leak is still there. My poppit only has 2 orings (one on each end), so what do you mean by middle oring? The front sleeve oring looks ok, but I ordered a kit from oring monkey and will replace every oring on the thing.

| Navy Corpsman Join Date: Nov 2011 | ![]() Does your poppet look like this? If so then the one in the middle is a usual suspect, dont lube the middle one either. Like OIM was saying the sleeve oring is another one due to sometimes being being trimmed by the body when putting the sleeve back. |
