An offset feed would have been good. The ability to use a stock class looking gun for stockclass would have been great. Overall the MVP looks pretty good, the no front fore grip doesn't bug me that much. There was just something about it that I can't put my finger on that I didn't like.

If only it were that easy to pin down, just wasn't the gun for me when I picked it up.

I dig the MVP, just a bit pricey in comparison to what you can get instead.

Everyone has great points for the pros and cons of the gun. I love mine to death and its my main shooter because I play in a lot of dusty places and having everything internalized makes my cleaning super easy. I also love my T2 but I hate having to take it apart after a day of play to get the dust out of guide rods and hammer.

The sound of the gun doesn't bother me. I think this clip sums it up for me: Clip from Tropic Thunder - Movie Sound Clips

I didn't buy mine new, I ended up trading for it. I wouldn't buy it new for the same reasons you all pointed out. If you can get one second hand to dull the pain its a damn nice gun. I'd wager most people have their MVPs second hand so the lack of new gun sales is probably why its fallen off the radar. Compare that to something like the eNMEy which is one of the few new guns that isn't a Thumper with its own 75+ page thread and packs a lot of bang for the buck.

Just traded my R7 for one in Blk dust. Should make landfall by Monday, June 17.

I've always admired the BL think tank since the early days of the Intimidator, particularly due to esthetics's.
Though many swore by the competence of its functionalities more so.
I expect nothing less from the MVP. And from what I see here and there, it really does look like BL's hit the pump series market with a grand slam and the players will eventually take it home.
I don't expect BL to abandon this project by any means.
He's been in this biz way too long and he knows how to play it.
Will post my unbiased opinion in a few days here.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

One quick note on the 3/4 cocking point: while it is wierd to get used to if you come from a sniper-based gun, you'll learn to love it.

Having it work the way it does allows you to run the gun w/o any pump return springs without risk of double-chambering a ball because you let go of the pump handle. Since the gun cocks the 3/4 mark there will be spring tension from the bolt+hammer once you get passed that 3/4 mark. The result is that even if you let go of everything and run around while the gun is cocked and chambered there will always be a bit of the bolt poking into the breech to prevent a second ball from falling in. Try that with a Sniper-based gun! =)

I still love mine a year later.... granted I made a beefy pump handle for it because I could.

Also only huge complaint I have is that if the frame gets loose and it can... your day is over it will destroy the oring sealing the air passage.

Festa, I'm getting used to it. Shooting off leftover paint is helping get a feel for the pull/return. My pocket hopper does not feed like a forced fed lol. And my 100rd and 50rd hopper feed differently with the cocking point. Still working on getting used to gravity feeding feel. AT on my sniper platforms is easy with those hoppers. Way different with the MVP.
