Except since they're a retailer, the person answering the phone might not have specific product knowledge (regardless of the owner's affiliations) and might not be able to forward the caller on to somebody that would. That was my only point.

Cool to know.

Thank you for the update.

I have called Blast on many many occassions. My favourite response was :

ring ring ring ring ring ring ring
sound of phone falling on ground
? : hello (imagine a mouth full of food accent)
me: is this Blast ?
? : heavy breathing
me : is this Bob Longs shop ?
? : yah, hold on.

Most of the other times, I speak with Kathy. She is friendly, does her best, and gets the job done. Ask for Kathy and be polite. Honey catches more flies than vinegar.

BLAST is awsome to work with, I can't imagine an actual BLAST tech teling someone that. I do have no problem seeing them being caught in the middle of lunch and dropping the phone though. The older closer back plate thing had a very few instances of breaking, but I've never heard of it shooting out and can't imagine how it would it usually just leaks.

shens.

i have a closer, and it has had the same problem. the screws are weak from the factory i guess. one broke off inside the gun, and all that happened was the back cap fell off and dropped everything out the next time i was running. would not shoot off. the pressure inside is too low.

my recommendation is to get a simpler gun if hes a starting player. my closer requires alot of attention to run right. if you dont do maintenance correctly, problems happen more frequently. closers are very very good guns, and dont just shoot apart. end user error causes problems.

So something internal ruptured and caused the pieces of metal to warp the body and shoot out the rear of the marker. Don't quote me on this but isn't the operating pressure something like 250psi? Since its milled mostly out of one piece and threaded together there are (to me at least) no 'failure points' like a weld for example.

Are you sure this whole thing wasn't mistaken? Could it have been a tank issue or macroline (seen pics of that a bad batch of macroline line bursting and causes the fitting to pop off, nothing remotely enough to cause bodily harm though)?

Hope this gets resolved quickly, paintball as a whole has been getting more than most sports worth of extremely bad press.

Good luck,

Arpie

It was Delta that the kid called. He don't remember the guys name but said he is a bigger guy that he has delt with before. He is a couple of pics. There are more up close pics coming I think that were takin later in the day.

This is the back of the marker of course. You can still see part of the back plate still attached where the bolt that held it is still screwed into the marker.

And the piece that blew out the back is stuck intp the mask here. And no it did not do that . We were sending this pic to Delta as a example of what could have happen in the kid had done what he was told. Anyway the piecse sticking out of the lense is what shot out. and you can't really tell in the pic, but it is broke also.
