I did this last weekend. The hole is just right for a #8-32 tap already. I did have to tap across the center into the other side in order for the set screw to start lifting the link. I started on the old side that already had a dent in it from the link. I have what I think is a good improvement on MM's #5 sear mod. Since I'm hacking away at everything on this RM, I may be a few weeks away from solid testing. It feels perfect. Lmk if anyone is heading that way and I can get some pics up sooner. The face of the carrier still needs the machine marks taken off (I started with a file).
