Just found a Stingray - a few questions now...

Found a Stingray 1 at a yard sale for $5. It's in good shape, but upon taking it apart it looks like the spring is broken near the front.

Any place to get parts these days?

Unless new old stock, or I&I sports, your best bet might be to buy another one for parts.

I'd avoid i&I in this aspect. Their shipping makes any small purchases not worth it.

I couldn't find the viewloaderparts website. I know it was up last year, I guess they merged it into the JT site? Anyways, check here:

I think fat-50- has some rebuild kits. He's based out of London, ON. They would be in the "old toolboxes in the back" of Flagswipe paintball. Or they may have moved them to Paintball Revolution in Woodstock. The London store is your best bet, though.

aren't some spyder spring compatable?

I tossed a penny in there for now to shim the spring - I think I'm going to need to find a new one, but I'll have to chrony it to know for sure.

The guy I got it from told me he hadn't used it in years - the 7 oz that it came with still had CO2 in it, so I screwed it in just for the heck of it, and surprisingly it still works. No leaks.

BE Stingray Parts

Good chance I have the parts you may need. My store used to be part of the BE warranty repair centers....have a box of loose Stingray and Tigershark parts that were never used. Most isn't labeled so post a pic of the part you need. Or PM me.

I just need a spring right now, although if I could find a Commando kit I would be very happy.

"spring is broken near the front"

Do you mean the spring on the exterior of the valve that applies tension to the velocity adjuster?
