im guessing its a nightmare comp, not sure my main question is how do you remove the rear asa

super_stanchy 12-29-2012 07:59 PM

where do you work?!!?

you should be able to take the 2 frame screws off, and then the back pulls out i believe

kuhn101 12-29-2012 08:03 PM

scrap yard.
the lower tube would come out that way, but the asa on top isnt coming out... there was a screw on top of it that i removed but damn thing is either stuck seized or needs something else taken off to be removed

There shouldn't be anything else holding it in....but then again that thing has been worked over a bit.....that feedneck clearly isn't original. They were right feeds...that thing has to patch the right side and slide it over to the left.

I say that to say, there SHOULDN'T be anything else holding it in, but it's hard to know for sure...since anything could've been changed.

Great candidate for a poo build!

You sure that BBA isn't threaded? See if it unscrews. Also is it possible that it's connected to or part of the upper tube assembly? I'd definitely take out the top set screws before whacking it too much. Maybe take those out then stick a dowel down the barrel and tap it a bit to see what all moves.

CRAP. I don't know what I was thinking. MaD's right. Those are threaded. just went and checked mine. Not sure what I was thinking about. That should just unscrew. Sorry.
