Everyone seems to be having issues with the o-rings in the lower tube. The upper stopped leaking the first time I replaced the rings. Maybe the lower does need a different o-ring.

After I read through the article's and tip's you posted I dug up my old L B comp. I found that I'm missing a part. And have wondered if any one will consider selling me one if a extra is out there. I'm trying to get a good view of the part name and number. Think it is V 1,from the picture in this set of links you have listed. The flat O ring almost snaps in place, well from what I remember. If I can not get one could some one do mike measures for this part. I'll make it on my lathe or mill. Thanks for reading and any help you provide. Eric

Hey Eric, it looks like your in need of the valve cap or brass nut (whatever you want to call it). You can find valves and parts over at Bacci Paintball - Vintage Pump Marker Parts, Gear and Memorabilia. As for measurements, I sadly don't have any accurate measuring tools or the like. Maybe someone else can get you some specs if you don't purchase one?

Been reading all there is to read about the nightmares for tinkering. Recently bought a LB off of Spiffy( great guy, even for being north of the border. Lol)

Have been looking into parts and seals and have few bits ordered from different places. As I was pondering. And looking. Has anyone yet looked into the stingray 2 valve parts? They look very very much like the internals of the nightmare. I found a site that handles parts and for about $15 was going to see what was usable. Believe it's paintball parts online .

Also have a design for a modern cart adapter that should be able to be made and uses modern pierce pin and seals. Will be posting in future. If it's ok to post on this sticky or should start new or under someone else's as I don't want to clutter the tech thread up.

Thank you all- Crapgame

You can always just start a new thread about different topics.

I have a stingray. I looked at the components but have not set them next to each other yet. I think the cup seal may be usable but that is it. I am pretty sure the stingray valve pin is larger than the nightmare.

I personally dont think it would be overly difficult to make a new/ mod a stock 12g piercer assembly to accept CCI pierce pin assemblies. Just need a spare BE assembly and some time The latter is always the difficult part. I've even gone bonkers and thought about a custom 12g piercer assembly that is actually a regulator as well. The piercer assembly on the aluminum nightmares are GINORMOUS.

I've been thinking about the reg/piercer thing as well, would be awesome if a palmer's Cart regulator could be modified to fit in a Nightmare's upper tube.
