Nightmare: Why the soft Sear engagement?
I recently got a Nightmare SB, and while it isn't quite what I had expected it is growing on me.
One thing I find odd about it is the overall soft/loose feeling it has, particularly with the pump action and trigger pull. There is a noticeable lack of a nice 'click' as the hammer locks back, and no good feedback from the trigger. It feels more like it slips and happens to fire, than a solid action.
So I guess I have a few questions there, is that standard or perhaps wear/configuration on my nightmare? I noticed both the sear and the groove on the hammer are sharply angled, so the sear doesn't so much hook into the hammer as get in the way. It appears only a slight pull of the trigger is enough so the hammer can just push the sear away.
I feel like this marker would only need a few tweaks to get it feeling a lot more solid than it does now.
