Talking I am a very happy Stingray owner! Look what I bought!

Just got these in the mail from Koleah. I bought this box o' Ray parts because my bolt arm broke during my last game. Now I have more than enough parts to fill my hours with Ray hacking goodness!

Here comes the Dremel my little Rays

If you want another clean 'ray II plus an extra set of internals, let me know. I'm getting it all ready for an eBaying.

Do you have any specific plans? Like re-creating Punisher's FASOR Stingray from a year or two ago?

Edit: It's a shame BEOG and most of STING are still gone.

Nothing that ambitious. Currently I have a .45 grip I made on by hand on my Stingray, a metal stock that's removable, and a lowered hopper. I'm looking at adding a swappable foregrip/pistol grip, and moving the air to the top of the valve, off the donkey. Oh, and rear cocking. And a better trigger job. Already have a double trigger I made, but needs a shorter pull.

Oh, and in regards to Sting being gone, when I need access to it, I use the Wayback machine:

I agree. I really wish the BEOG was left open.

Good find on the Stingray parts.

Same here. It was a great forum. Lots of friendly tinkerers and good info.

Clarification?

I have always assumed that I had a Stingray I, but now there is all this talk of Stingray II's, What is the difference between them?

The 1 had a full-length barrel cover, the 2s have a shorter bare aluminum barrel.

Thanks

So it is a one. Is one better than the other, or have advantages? I have already set it up with a Lapco barrel adapter, a new venturi bolt, and new rings. I could use a new cocking bolt, as those tend to disappear during play for some reason.

Supposedly according to a guy who used to post on the BEOG and was one of the BE designers, the shorter barrel made for slightly better efficiency and was just as accurate.

Other than the barrels, they're identical internally.

Put a couple drops of blue loctite on the cocking knob to keep it from coming loose. I don't remember the threading but you can get a bolt from the hardware store to replace it.
