| Banned Join Date: Jul 2006 | timing a RM ...
my rainmaker has some serious blowback. im thinking the "timing" is off. i was looking for the RMOG link to the part that tells how far the ram and carrier and such should be but i can;t find it. i havn;t shot it over the chrono yet (this weekend) so it might just be shooting wicked hot. figured i;d check it out.

I don't know how to time a RM, but perhaps check your velocity adjustment? That thing is REALLY sensitive- perhaps it's out-of-whack (so to speak)? How did you receive the RM? Can you figure out if it was re-timed by a previous owner? If it wasn't re-timed, then the settings should still be factory standard... Or did you re-time it yourself at one point? |
