Would it be possible to cut small rings out of freak inserts and slide them into the back of your insert as a small retaining ring? Just a thought. I'm not sure if its even possible to do that, I am by no means anything close to being a machinist. I am also not sure how harsh the mag bolt would be on something like that.

Just trying to help out. I have my reasons

No, mostly because the Automag bolt requires a minimum of .690" clearance to be able to slide. Any smaller than that and things get kinda messed up, pretty quickly. The retainer for the paintball (detent) must be flexible and resilient or it will become chewed up and useless pretty fast.

Good thought... Keep thinking, it's how the sport moves forward.

XMT's are nicer than mine... I am building classic bodies and his ULEs simply look better... IMHO.

Actually two of those Tippmann detents might do the trick... plus they are cheap and plentiful... I will look into that too.

Thanks Nobody.

like i tell you, i'm just a call away and i'll solve most of your problems.

plus, it will clear the breech area, when the bolt passes by, unlike a finger detent.

I have had a similar offer from a few guys named Guido, and they were even willing to dispose of my body in a place of my choosing

I will have detent in hand and a program written on Wednesday night.
