Can You Delete Comments on Your Own Thread?

I started a WTB thread and someone gave me advice that would have been better suited in a PM, not on a page where people are trying to sell their products. I was wondering how to delete it.

PM a mod (red names). There is no way for blue or green members to do anything to another member's posts except in cases where you can delete or lock an entire thread if you're the one who started it. That might be a green-only perk.

Green perk only to delete your own, but no one can delete another persons.

Report it and one of us can take care of it for you.

You might want to get used to the way MCB is before you start posting the same WTB ad multiple times. There is a pretty good etiquette thread somewhere in the BST area too.

I don't believe I have posted the same ad multiple times...if this is the case could you link it? Also, how do you delete your own comments. I have read the rules...I apologize if I am breaking them

If by multiple times, do you mean, the same ad in different forums? I have done that, mostly because what I'm looking for is fairly obscure, but I don't believe I have posted the same ad in the same forum.

Only premium members can delete their own comments, regular members cannot. You posted two WTB ads for smart parts girls in the same section, you could have just posted one. I also went through the thread and didn't see anything overt that would require a pm. I also didn't see anything deleted.

This is not really acceptable. We have a WTB section and regular sales sections. We have had problems with users cross posting ads in multiple sections for various reasons. Our BST is one of the best managed around and does not really require such things. Posts do not disappear to page 10 in an hour due to traffic. We try to avoid the BST becoming the wild west.

Like I said, MCB is a bit different from every other forum. Some times it takes a little bit to get the feel of the place. Feel free to ask questions, someone will help out.

Red = mod
green = premium (usually long time members)
blue = regular users

this is a pet peeve of mine in the bst forums. the 1000 bump posts totally kills me. Just delete the OG bump post and make a new one. Keeps your thread tidy and neat.
