I'm not sure about new threads, I haven't posted one in a while, but from time to time in the past week or so it just doesn't want to post replies (usually from the quick reply box). The forum will just wait and wait. I don't think it's the connection, since it happens both at home and at work.

yep bogging down for me too (and has been) again
but I have found that after you hit post reply - hit F5 to refresh the page and poof - there is your reply

I've found it's sporadic. Seems if I hit post reply then click in the reply box, it goes right in.

It's because of the size of the database ... my 5000+ posts are the problem. If I posted less there would be less information stored on the server.

Seriously it is a data quantity issue.... there is so much information stored here it is ridiculous....

I'm trying to convince PH to trim some of the files out... well at least I mentioned that we could get rid of files from for example the general section that are older than a year. It would help clear up some of the files.

That data is fine... And it's fast.

It's the AJAX redirect that is an issue now and then.

Once you click "Post Reply" or whatever, the information is immediately there. It just takes a minute to redirect now and then, and I'm not sure why yet.

If you don't want to wait any longer, you can just click the home page link at the top and got back, and then you'll see that the post is there.

I'm working on it regardless....
