Avatar problem

Greetings!

Finally getting around to settling in the site/forum. Having a problem getting the site to accept my custom avatar though. It meets the parameters- 80x80 pixels, 18.8kb. The picture is an easyshare bmp in the "my pictures" section of my PC.

However, this is the message I get:

"This is not a valid image file."

What am I doing wrong?

Oh, and thanks in advance for your assistance!

Most likely because it needs to be in jpg format, not bmp.

If you can convert it, try it then... otherwise, send it to me: painthappy@gmail.com
and I'll see if I can't set it up for you.

Yup.. agreed. Sometimes it shows, and other times, I see this funky error thing. That's why I asked you a bit ago about it, but you gave me the youtube thing, and I figured it was just a fluke.

I can see your attachment fine now.

Well, since you're a premium member now, why don't you look for the public FTP site, so you can upload files, and you can upload your sig if you wish there.

Until then.. I haven't got a clue.

It varies depending on what computer I use.
