Southern Ontario Ballers: Fall Castle Conquest Bus trip

I just fired off an email to a friend of mine that drives bus charters and if there was enough interest I could secure transportation down and back for the weekend...it's only a 5 hour drive or so, and if he's willing to drive it himself the expenses would only be for the vehicle rental, fuel (both at cost) and a weekend registration for him and his son. Plus, with the bus coming from a depot in Richmond Hill, we could arrange for a few pickups before we hop the border (I was thinking something like Vaughan Mills, Yorkdale, Square one and somewhere in Hamilton)

I'm more then willing to help organize this end of it if there's enough interest. It would either be a coach bus, filled to capacity, or a school bus with 2/3rds of the seats booked, to allow the last few rows to store gear bags...I'm just waiting to get a cost breakdown for both options. But if we get some firm commitments once I have pricing we can pre-register for the event as well and book a bunkhouse for the Ontario contingent. Plus, since I'm sure with a busload of ballers we could commit to at least 25 cases over the weekend, that will drop the cost down to $70/2000.

I'll update here once I get a response with bus costs.
If anyone here is interested in getting on board once I have pricing info, post here and I'll keep a running list. FYI, once I have pricing info I'm gonna PM anyone who expressed interest first with the cost, so they have first choice. Afterwards, I'll public update it here and spots will be on a first come, first serve basis, since I'll only be able to commit to the price for one full bus. Translation: if you're planning on filling half a bus with your team, you better have the cash for a deposit!

Lets see if there's interest

I'm all over this like a fat kid on a sundae, as will my roommate most likely. We'd have to bus/train/hitchhike up (I wonder what our chances of getting picked up are if we're standing on the side of the road with our KPs...I'm sure those nice men driving the Crown Victorias with the flashy lights will be happy to oblige ), but still.

Nope, still don't care for Smart Parts.
Gimmie a few minutes alone with the Palmer catalog and I'll get back to you again.

This sounds like an awesome idea. I don't want to bring up bad karma, but do you think it would be hard to get across with a bus load of pb markers? I have never tried to cross the ditch with my gear so I don't know how hard it is or what regulations or forms you have to follow. Has any one played south of the border before?

If crossing the border with muzzleloaders is any indication, it's probably not that hard.

I think crossing the border with all of us and all our gear won't be a problem, it will all be declared anyways. Another board I post on has some guys who have gone so I'll ask them if anything specific is required.
