Bad people are everywhere. Though events like this tend to attract those players who are just looking to have fun.

One good thing is that the parking area is very close to the staging/playing area. I avoided having to tempt anyone by just keeping everything locked up, and the car was hardly a minute walk.

This is unlike, say, Skirmish, where the parking area seemed like MILES away...

If we're attacking in the fall, then our gear will be out in the open, unless we leave it in the bunkhouse, or use the pop-up tent we had at Spring castle.

I've never heard of any guns getting stolen, but didn't someone walk-off with a couple cases of Carter's paint a few years ago?

Yeah the paint walked and also at Spring 2008 someone had a gun stollen. They made an anouncement at the awards ceremony. I think it was an ion or other mass produced good luck finding it type gun.

How quickly do the defender spots generally fill up? What are peoples preferences, i.e. which one have you found more fun?

I plan on bringing a HB cocker, possibly an E-spyder if it's in working order and whatever pump I have at the time, if all goes as I wish it to, an AT'd cocker, possibly a karni or S6.

Once they do start to fill they fill fast. It depends on the season when they start filling.

I've been looking for a group locally but nobody wants to commit this far in advance so I might wind up going solo :-\

I personally like defending. It's never hard to find a good gunfight and I like good gunfights.

Chances are I'll be rockin' my KP2 up on the wall.

Defending just sounds more fun to me than attacking.

You're definately gonna want to haul a semi pistol if you're dragging a KP. Pumps are dead weight on the walls. Seriously. As fast as some of the rushes go, you just can't pump fast enough. This is coming from someone who's played pump as long as he's played paintball.

I'll most likely be rocking my eclipse for the actual castle itself (either side it's going to be a rush since it's my first time) then I'm bringing my PMI II for the pump game and I'll probably throw a RAS intruder into the mix or maybe something else oddball like a BL defiant (the original one)

Yeah, I can see that being a problem. Well, I don't own any useable semis, so I guess I'll haul *** up the hill with the rest of the ablative meat shield.
