| Poopsnail | KP's crossing the border. Has anyone had any problems shipping KP-2 or KP-3's across the border? Particularily from the US into Canada? I'd love to pick one up but I am afraid that the more stringent gun laws will not permit these from passing into the country. Hell at my local border crossing we've had problems with the new tippmanns (Alpha Blacks) and even the X7 flatline barrels (That is the border security would not allow these into the country) Thanks for the info! |

| Pump Gun Dealer | Russ had a bit of a snag when he got his shipped up, but he managed to get a letter from someone important (or something like that) and sorted it out. It's best if the shipping party can remove the brass from the stock and either ship them seperately or at least not assembled. |

Fact is, they don't have any right to hold something that looks like a gun but isn't actually a replica of a real firearm. Keep in mind that there are many CBSA monkeys who don't know an m60 from an Autococker, and they are the ones who make for the most annoying kinds of trouble. I think my situation was out of the ordinary, you should be okay shipping but adding some documentation like an old printout KP manual couldn't hurt.

It's key words like "Paintball gun" that freak customs out. The "Used sporting goods" seems to cover the bases, even if there are issues, when it all gets sorted out, it was the truth. That's key. Be honest with your labeling, but don't make it sound like weaponry. ..my favorite description that I saw posted here a while back was "Electro-pneumatic acceleration device for projecting gelatin encapsulated marking paint" Or something along those lines...

At my crossing they love to refuse pball gear. I tend to ship within the USA at a local border store and then reship via USPOST to my home address when necessary. I am lucky enough to live within 30 min of the border. | |

| MCB Member Join Date: Dec 2006 | I have shipped plenty of Sheridans and AGDs to Canada. What helps me the most, is probably my description: - Paint Marking Tool Never had an issue, in fact, another will go up this week. I have never crossed with any, but maybe you could put them in a box that says the same. (lol) -J |

| MCB Member | I have sent 3 KPs over the border in the last two year, along with many other guns and equipment. I have tried the "used sporting goods" lable, but my post office told me I had to be more specific. I usually write something like, "Paint ball marker body and parts. NO PAINT" on the forms. One of the KPs got caught at customs for 2 weeks, but it did get sent to the buyer and all was good. I do remove the brass from the wood and send them together in one box. |

| WTB: ATS Mags Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Calgary AB Canada | I've received...a bunch... of KP's from the US, and customs has opened 90% of them to inspect. Never had a problem. I just have it labelled: "Used Sporting Goods: Paintball" and haven't once had a problem. I do agree, seperating the brass from the wood is a good idea, it gives them a clearer view that there's no place to put ammunition. |
