Does anyone know how they set their prices?

I just got two shipping quotes for the exact same package. One going to the States, and one going to Vancouver. Sending the package to Vancouver would cost $15 more! Personally, this seems more than a little ridiculous.

It's not a huge package either, it's an 11" barrel in a bubble envelope.

Shipping to Usa is cheaper than shipping within canada with their small package/Air mail option.

Price are calculated by size, weight and destination.

I understand how they come to the price at the actual post office. What I'm wondering about is why there's a significantly higher multiplier on shipping a package within Canada than there is on shipping something internationally.

For example, it would be less than half the price to ship the equivalent thing from Montreal to Seattle than it would be for me to ship it from Montreal to Vancouver. Relatively speaking they're the same distance.

I guess it that they do half the job for international so when you ship it within your country they charge more since they do everything? XD

They determine the price by smoking crack rocks. The more crack, the more cost.
That stuff gets expensive...

I've had worse. Back in Sept I had a rifle for sale on another forum. Had it all packaged, got an estimate from the Canada Post counter near my house -> 17$ something. Jump 1 weeks later, the buyer sends me the MO, we do the transfer. I go to ship it, this time its 23$, wtf. The girl at the counter couldn't explain to me why.
