Wow, that must have taken alot of patience! I am glad for it though as it is the smoothest gun I have ever owned!

Not really chopper I got lucky that my wife took the kids for a week to Washington. I don't have time like that all but once a year.

What did you do to polish them? What grit, and did you use any polishing compounds or anything?

I used 600 grit to start. Lightly though. Then I used the Mcdermott pool cue conditioning system. Which has 4 different grits going up to like 7500. I used each one for like 15-20 ensuring even coverage. Then I used mothers until it was a mirror shine. Now you have to be willing to use your fingers with the mothers, and buff off with clean terrycloth. I did like 3 applications until I liked the results. I also did the inside of the body on my boxgun and the outside of the barrel. I finished it off with a lite but even coat of triflow so everything was coated. Heavenly pump stroke achieved.

To do my boxgun and mini buzzard it took about 5 hours total.

Hmmm... I need to pick that pool cue condition set up. It was only like $8 if IIRC.

I need to do the Duck and the Box, though the Box still has a bit of binding.

It takes a while because you have to really feel the part your polishing. Carefully running your fingers over it to feel for the spots that don't feel the same. So it can be a little time consuming, but if done right it will be worth it.

That's cool. I can totally do that. Would you mind PMing a step by step process? Like do you go around the powertube, or down it, etc?

I did the bolt, power tube, hammer on the mini buzzard. On the boxgun; bolt, hammer, power tube, inside of the snub, outsid eof the barrel and cotact points for the sear. i didn't mess with the trigger on the mini buzzard because it was awesome to begin with. earon did a complete overhaul on the boxgun for me.
