I was having a fit trying to find something that would fit over the end of my Duck let alone allow it to be holstered. Kind of by accident I stumbles across a solution.

When I had my TPX it had an Apex tip which came with an Alex barrel sock. Because of this I just sort of tossed the stock TPX BBD asside. Well, I came across the stock BBD the other day and just tried it on my Duck. It worked wonderfully. I slipped it into my BT holster and it worked great.

So, if anyone is looking for an easy solution, a TPX BBD makes a decent device that's allows the use of a holster.

I found a double-wide BBD a while back in a Japanese-style fabric print. Here it is on my former Redux:

I've had Barrel Socks that fit over the end, but when I would holster and then try to draw, they would get pulled off. That's why I like the TPX one. It fits down in the barrel like a barrel plug, yet has the elastic cord like a standard Barrel Sock as well as having the adjuster on the back to tighten or loosen it.

One issue I have with plugs that fit down the barrel: you run the risk of contaminating the barrel if the plug has any debris on it.

I just realized what type of plug you were referring to. I like the TPX plug as it only has four contact strips and would be easy to dust off before installing.

Good call. Gotta pick one up for the next gun. I'll add a pic to post 1 for posterity.

Yup, Tippmann's spike BBD works fantastic for pistol-esque markers. That's what we've been using with the boxgun.
