That's what I've always heard. I didn't get numbers from my Boxgun when I had it. It had both styles of valves.

That's what everyone keeps saying, but, according to B In grip is more efficient....Since B knows his stuff when it comes to Nelsons I'd be more inclined to believe him

I personally think B tends to oversimplify Nelson tuning. There was an entire thread about this...hold on a sec. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Slam vs. Bucket vs. Lever vs. In Grip 12gm?

Here...Frink ended up changing my mind about efficiency. I was convinced in-grip had to be better, but that didn't seem to be the case when people started talking about their in-grip shot counts. There's the whole issue of liquid siphoning directly to the cupseal area. This post in particular.

I've owned many different Nelsons over the years and have seen what B does to make them work better,I still stand by his stance on in grip being more efficient because the fact it does siphon liquid direct to the cupseal like that....it causes it to flash instantly thus needing less co2 to power the gun. This fact coupled with some of B's other little tricks makes for a really efficient Nelson based gun

I think the problem is that we are coupling a non-devolumized valve and large ported powertube (made to run expanded co2) with a grip setup that was designed around liquid.

But anyways, I don't want to talk out my *** about stuff I know nothing about...I haven't owned a duck. I've only heard anecdotally that the in-grip changers are less efficient than BBA.

Earon carter says bba is the most effecient. He said I can expect 25-30 out of in grip.

But if you get a redux snub, freak inserts, lighten your hammer, polish your internals, play with springing and add a valve insert like I did, you could get 47 shots off in grip
