He did,but the story is a bit more involved than just that....it actually gets kinda ugly....Earon Carter and Stan Russell both worked for McMurray and Sons and were caught selling McMurray's designs out the backdoor....That's the super short version Tim McMurray himself told me via a very lengthy email when I asked him the history of the very unusual Annihilator I bought of of Ebay.

Slightly Longer Version is below
This is a direct quote from Tim McMurray via the Email he sent me about this..Including a little history on my Annihilator...There was quite a bit more in the email, but, this was the only important part

"The marking pretty much say it all. Stan Russell and Earon Carter were my machinists and built my design till I busted Earon back dooring my design as the Maurauder and I fired them. The feed angle of these early Annihilators was about 40 degrees and they had metal feed tubes with holes in the feeders to see the balls.
Annihilators were the first long barreled pistols and used a center fire bolt like the rifle. This would date around 1985 or so. The PGP it is based on is a pretty low serial number 754. Later we used EB pellet guns as the platform because they were cheaper than the paintguns."

I love threads like this. History threads are always great, reminds me of the duck history thread.

When I first saw Carter"s stuff was in the late 80's at the second air pistol open, and all his markers were nelson based that Jessica had. After finding this site Shiba kan starts a Carter thread with pictureof everybody using sherdian based markers.

I always figured that a nelson action was simpler to make from scratch.

Earon used to do some kick *** work on VM-68s as well, wish there were more of those old beasts that would show up,doubt he has any VM parts left in his shop but,if he does I'd love to snag a few of them

His name was Rene.
He was actually secretly married to Janet in her early days before her career really exploded.

Regarding other Pic, wasn't it Jerry YANDELL, sr and jr, not Yarnell? I could've misread the team patch.
Fields of Fire is still there only a mile from it's original spot. Jed Burns's old partner, Tim runs it now. He was in that pic DJ Yella posted. I played that day also against that team. I posted a pic of myself that a friend recently gave me.

I played at that Whittier field by the lake too. A big Hawaiian guy organized the games if I remember.

I saw Yarnell Sr. in Las Vegas at one of the early NPPL's
Such a gentleman.

Wasn't this a Termite thread? LOL

Gilly
Since when was off topic a bad thing?

Gilly you should be able to add a bit about Termite Markers.

Jessica is holding a Termite marker in the Widow Maker pic that she played with for several years.
