You already have carter inserts, why do you need freak?

I've never used the inserts before, not sure if freaks or those are preferred, and I had seen a thread of SSC combining the back and barrel. I will most likely stay with the inserts, was just wondering what people prefer.

I don't have luck with freak inserts. I can size my paint and everything and I break paint constantly using freak inserts. I have bought and sold many kits and I get the same results.

Very confused with this.

I have never had that problem, can't explain why it would happen?

Did you have the Same gun?

I use a freak barrel on my MB and prefer it. For me I could not get the right inserts (SM-1 design, longer than what you have.) A stock freak back fits in the pump handle beautifully. I had to sand down the threads on barrel back to get it into the snub, but five minutes and some elbow grease took care of that.

I would say try both and sell off what you don't like.

I have a Carter Titanium barrel with full set up inserts and whoosh tip. The orange/black fade mini buzzard that Lechooch has was mine. I never had any problems with Earons inserts.

I really want to like freak inserts, but I do not have much luck with them.

I understand that. I'm on my third set of SS inserts and these are the nicest yet. I have used Ty's brass inserts also. I installed all inserts in the barrel and checked them while slowly rotating them also. Then I screwed on the barrel adapter and checked.

Yes at one point I was using bad paint, but that was one game. I then bought some premium and that was nice and rounds rolled nicely and was all relatively the same size. While it shot nice and straight I was still breaking paint. I was using a .679 and the paint was about .678-.679. The insert checks out from what I can tell.

It's always the same story with them.
